Executive Summary

Leseran Organics is a skincare brand, formed in 2017 with an aim to provide solution to skin problems using organic plant-based materials. Our values also include social responsibility, advocating for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 1) by ensuring that as an organization, we give back to our communities. We are conscious about the South African economy, especially the unemployment and poverty rate hence we strive to empower youth or any unemployed person with entrepreneurship skills to change or improve their living conditions through our programme.

The objective of this programme is to equip participants who are passionate of becoming business owners/entrepreneurs with skills and practical tasks that will enable them to open and run their own businesses. At the end of this programme, participants should have skills/knowledge to make a sustainable livelihood and operate a successful business.

Implementation

The programme is designed into theory and practical training.

The theory training is conducted in one (1) day. The program covers the following five (5) basic entrepreneurship topics: Financial Skills, Communication Skills, Marketing Skills, Business plan Writing Skills, Leadership skills. The participants will be awarded with a certificate of attendance after the training.

The practical training is guided by entrepreneurship roadmap with exit strategy. The following steps need to be completed successfully.

 

1.Business Plan submissions.

2.Coaching & Application of business skills process.

3.Review of business plans checklist.

4.Exit of the programme.

  • -The coaching process includes monthly meetings, paid flea markets/promotional events, ways to market a product, apply customer service skills, how to generate capital to start their own businesses.

Participants will require a starter kit for practicals. This stock includes organic skincare and hair care products, catalogue, branded t-shirt and a cap.

    1. a) is Unemployed
    2. b) Wants to become business owner or entrepreneur.
    3. c) Over 18 years of age.
    4. d) Interested in beauty industry.
